The younger sister of supermodel Namrata Shirodkar, Shilpa Shirodkar was born on November 20th, 1969 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Shilpa made her acting debut in the 1989 film Bhrashtachar.
She was very popular in the 1990s and appeared in forty films until 2000 when she married a wealthy merchant banker from UK, Apresh Ranjit.
Shilpa retired from acting and they moved to London, where she gave birth to a daughter in 2003.
