Jyothika Saravanan is a semi-retired Bollywood Actress who has recorded about forty films in her career to date. Jothika is predominantly a Tamil Films Actress although she has worked also worked in some Hindi, Malayalam Kannada andTelugu. She is the daughter of Film ProducerChander Sadanah and is half sister to another well known Actress Nagma.

Jyothika Saravanan was born on October 18, 1978 in Mumbai(formerly Bombay) in the Maharashtra province of India. Jothika's debut was a Hindi film called "Doli Saja Ke Rakhna", which was recorded when she was aged 20. Jothika’s breakthrough movie, was “Khushi”, and was released in the year 2000.

On September 11, 2006 Jothika married Actor Surya Sivakumar. They now have two children born onAugust 10, 2007 and June 7, 2010. This is the reason why Jothika is semi-retired, she is raising her family.
